Thailand 2012: Day 13

The amazing Salted Egg Sweet custard bun
Today is my last day in Thailand. My sister was trying to convince me to stay longer, so I can go to Phuket with her. That sounds so nice, but I do miss my cats and I have so many things to do in the States. I did my ;ast minute shopping today. My sister and I went to Jim Thomson House, and bought some souvenirs for mom and dad. Then we went to MBK and grabbed some more things for friends. We also got Mont Nomsod’s condensed milk toast.. yummy.

Then we went to eat at the famous Chef Man. My sister has been raving about this place saying that it's the best Dim Sum place in Bangkok for the longest time. She's in love with the Salty Egg Sweet Custard bun. It's that combination of sweet and salty that she loves so much. I was trying to split it so I can take a picture, but ended up squirting it all over my hand. It was a mess, but she is right. Everything is tasted great there especially that custard bun. I wish I could eat more, but we were really stuffed.
We stopped by the corner of a street to grab the last milk tea. Seriously, this place has amazing milk tea. (The pictures is taken from the sidewalk, so this is actually the front of the store.) Then I got back to finish packing and then left for the airport.
Milk tea!!!
Lastly, here is a collection of pictures that I took of random places and things in Thailand from food, students and their uniform, street vendors to cars and the street.

Thailand 2012: Day 12

TWG in Emporium
I went to have lunch with Lak’s mom, sisters, and one of their friends. It was wonderful to be able to see them again. We went to TWG on the bottom floor of Emporium. The food were wonderful, the desserts were amazing, and the tea were so good. The teapot was very cool too. It really keeps the heat in, so that the tea stay warm much longer than normal.

My brother and his wife came to the hotel around 3pm and we hung out and went to walk around Central World on Chitlom exit. Afterwards, I had to go see Pi Ko’s family for dinner, so Tone dropped me off. He didn't want to join them for dinner because he was dressing too cute haha.
Don't they look super cute with their matching shirts? lol

Kamen rider balloon lol

Anyways, we went to Mugendai. The sushi there were really really good. I was to shy to take photos though since his whole family was there. We had Kinmedai, Zuwaigani, Engawa, and many other things. Their Chawanmushi was also super soft and tasty.
Pretty area where Mugendai was located at.

At night, Pailin and I got massage at a new place. For the first time, my masseuse was a guy. Her husband's sister recommended him and said he was awesome. He was really awesome. I usually get the regular pressure point massage. Today, I had a different type of massage where they did thai massage with Oil and Tiger balm. He said my right hand was much more tense than my left, so I said of course since I’m an artist, i use that hand a LOT. I think I was pretty much tensed all over though and he agreed lol. I like this massage since it’s a combination of pressure point and rolling. It’s already midnight and I just got back. Today was so eventful. Tomorrow, it’s time to go home already.

Thailand 2012: Day 11

Charina & me at "It happens to be a Closet"
Today was another busy day. I went to get eyelash extension for the first time. It’s pretty amazing. I think it looks so nice. The girl made it look so natural too. After that I went to eat lunch at “It happens to be a Closet” with Pailin and Kaew. Pi Ko was able to joined today too. It’s nice to be able to hang out with all of them especially since I haven’t really seen her husband much at all. He's always so busy with work. The place is very cute. I love the decor here. It's half a gift shop and half a restaurant. I love that pink table!

Afterwards, Pailin went with Charina to take care of something, so her husband and I walked around the top floor of Emporium which is the art floor. Later, he got coffee and we split. Then I came back to the hotel room. Kaew called and we decided to go to the Purr cafe, but when we got there, the wait was like 45 min! We went to Roast and got a Strawberry Waffle dessert instead lol.

I decided to meet up with my old best friend. We were childhood friend from the same school in Thailand (Mater Dei). She's now married, and I got to meet her and her husband for dinner. It was so nice to finally get together with Fon again (Fon is a thai word for "rain", isn't that a cute name?). I haven’t seen her for 20 years. We went to Cabbage and Condoms. Weird place with a strange name that was recommended by her, but it was pretty good. We talked a lot. She said I'm still talkative just like when we were kids lol.

Afterwards, we went to Pailin’s christmas party at the bookshop. Fon didn’t stay since they had a lot of work to do, but she got to say hi to Pailin. Pailin was being extra nice this evening. She would try to stop her friends from trying to make me drink shots since I don't really drink normally. She'd say “arggh who gave my sister a vodka shot!!!??!!” and would drink them herself lol. I had a glass of cocktail and a sip of a shot of Vodka, and I was hiding in the corner. One of her friend which is a famous actress named Juy came by my hiding corner to talk to me. She's so sweet. Then I was pretty much just eating lol. The food there is really good! Bomm came to join later too. I took pictures of the shop while they were setting up an some from the event, but it was dark during the event, so I didn't take that many pictures then.
