Pancakes & Arcade

I went to Wonder Con earlier this year as a dealer and asked a friend, Randy, to help me watch over the booth. We were going to grab breakfast in Anaheim, and one place caught our attention. Unfortunately, the line was way too long and I was running late to my booth. We ended up missing it and got Jack in the box instead T_T. Randy has been wanting to go back, so along with Mitsu, we decided to finally go to try it today. Behold the "The Original Pancake House"! The line was still almost an hour long, but it was so worth it. The pancakes were fluffy. The eggs were tasty. The german pancake was really cool. yum yum. That's how the day started.
German Pancake looks cool, don't they?

Then we went to check out "Round 1" Game center in City of Industry and ended up pretty much spending the whole day there. Randy won almost every game. I think he was really in his element there lol. We also played Pingpong. He beat us in Pingpong too, but I was just getting better when the time was up >:( boo! I wanted to win a Rilakkuma, but didn't want to waste money on trying to win it because it's probably cheaper to just buy it outside. I didn't want to get sucked in to the whole scheme but it was so tempting! I really like Taiko No Tatsujin and Smart Smacker ^^.

Birthday

This year, I got some amazing presents from friends. I got a very cute ham plush and a beautiful teal colored necklace. Thank you Lak and Mitsu. Pailin also got me a backpack and some make up too. My dad made baked Ziti. We also went to see Batman (I finally got to see it.) and he also got me a cute little cake ^^.
FSc told me about a new iphone app called Line Camera, and that's what I used to do all the sparkles in the picture above lol

Sister & Nephew

First birthday @ Disneyland!

My beautiful sister came with her cute little baby to visit from Thailand. She also brought his nanny along to help out. He celebrated his first birthday here. It's the first time that I've met her son in person. Babies have such round heads XD. His head is so big that all the collar of his shirts are stretched beyond repair. They had such a hard time putting the shirts over his head lol. It's very funny to how my sister and the nanny has to work so hard to change his shirts. The highlight of the trip is probably Disneyland. We were debating if we should take him for his first birthday or not. (Yay! he's a Leo just like me >:D) In the end, she decided to take him and he had a great day. He loves Toon Town. I think he just likes cars in general. This is actually my first time going to Disneyland with a baby. Here are some pics that I loved the most from the Disney trips.

He also loves Mocha and Sherlock. He'd always try to play with them. We're so lucky that our pets are also very good with children. ^^

He made a new friend while he was here. Liam from next door stopped by and played with him a few times. Liam showed him some basketball and baseball moves. Liam is in Little League. He's my favorite little boy. Isn't he super sweet and super cute? ^^. He even let him borrow his super cool car :)

The super cool car.
The super cool car deserved a big picture slot since Reef's expression is also priceless lol. He was so into it.

Food Network/LA Times Picnic

It was an amazing event hosted by Giada from Food Network. The location was nice. The food were amazing. This was Picnic on the Hills hosted by L.A Times and Food Network gathering 30 amazing restaurants and 30 wine vendors together. All you can eat goodness :). I went with my mom. The thing that stood out for us was the Pitfire Artisan Pizza booth. We had the heirloom tomatoes with Burrata cheese pizza and it was probably the best pizza ever. We all agreed that it's better than Mozza Pizzaria by the the Iron Chef Mario Batali, so that's saying a lot. The guy that was making the pizza also said that he's heard that quite often :p.

Waffle de Liege had interesting waffles. They were made of dough, so the texture reminded me more of Roti than waffle.. I liked them. Ice Ice Shavie also had very good shaved ice. They tasted like they were made of real ingredients rather than artificial flavored syrup. I loved the orange one that I had. They also had a mojito flavor which James would probably love. Angelini, Inn of the seventh ray, The Counter, Pizza Antica, Fig & Olive, BLD, Sprinkles... they were all there.

I wish I have better pictures of this event, but the whole thing was a big blur because I got a call from the vet saying that my cat will need to be put down the next day because he didn't respond too well to the IV fluid and the blood transfusion. Despite the event being really amazing, we were just all too sad to stay and eat more, so we left to go pick up Coco from the vet.
