Alegria

They didn't allow photography, so the above pic is something I found online. It's a nice pic huh? and that act isn't even in the show that I saw *sob*

I went to see Alegria with CP and Kristy. It took us 3 hours each way! It was fun though. Car trips can be quite fun. I slept most of the way lol. Alegria has very good songs, and the costumes were beautiful. We ate at a super amazing Steakhouse thanks to last minute YELP.

Fanime 2010

I didn't take this picture, but it's probably the most memorable thing from Fanime this year to me. Laine is so good at posing. This pic makes my teeth shine lol.

I wasn't planning on going to Fanime, but Audra and Scott came all the way from Hawaii, so I had to at least go visit their booth! Nemu Nemu booth was so cool. I love everything there. I also got to see Jo Chen, and bought some artbooks and prints from her. I haven't seen her in years!

I stopped by Mai's booth twice, but she wasn't there :( I love the booth decor though... super cute! Most of the time, I was hanging out with Saka. We spent most of our time walking around the Artist Alley. Laine was selling art prints this year too, and they were gorgeous! Of course Jeannie had a bunch of cute little clay things that she made. Alex had a preview of his fighting game at his table. It's fun to see all the artists hanging out and selling their works. I got to see some friends that I haven't seen in a while. Ooh some of the Cosplayers looked really nice as well :)

Corn Zipper & Pineapple Desserts

it's so cute.. I saw it on sale, so I couldn't help it.

One of my friend, Benny, likes pineapple, so I was attempting to make him a good pineapple treat. I made Pineapple sponge cake. Yummy frosting, but the cake itself was a bit dry. I'd layer the cake next time, so that there are fillings in between. Since it was a birthday present, I wanted to give him something that's really yummy, so I tried again. This time, I made Pineapple Mousse, and it was super yummy and light. I think he likes it :)

Radish

"Hello, I am a radish"

Radishes are probably one of the cutest vegetables. They are cute little bulbs and the color is so pretty. When you slice them up, they are white with pretty outer red rings <3. Because they are so cute, it's hard not to buy them. I think they have a really nice texture. They add some crunchiness into things. I put thin slices of them in my salad as well as my sandwiches, and the crunchiness makes everything taste so much more yummy. See? I like them so much, I even made a radish character! Inspiration comes from everywhere *nod nod* :p

Ketchup & Pasta + Coconut Cupcakes

A lot of asian countries use Ketchup in their pasta. Most americans seem to think that it's really really weird to do so, but I remember having my pasta with ketchup when I was a kid in Thailand. That was one of my favorite dish, and since I have most of the ingredients already, I decided to try to make it. For the thai version, you're supposed to use Macaroni, but I only had Penne, so Penne will do. (Too lazy to go out to buy the right stuff.) I think Ketchup is yummy, so I really liked it :p. I used Japanese ketchup (which I think tastes a little different than Heinz) They're also a little sweeter. I was definitely satisfied :d.

I also had a fresh coconut, so I made coconut cupcakes. I even made Coconut Milk and Extract from the fresh coconuts. The cupcakes came out really light and tasty. When I was in LA, My aunt and uncle took me to Tavern Restaurant, and I had one of their cupcake topped with meringue frosting. I was so in love with that frosting and have been craving it for a while, so I decided to top these coconut cupcakes with meringue frosting. The frosting was so gooey and tasty that I couldn't stop eating it. >_< Too bad it hardens up and becomes less gooey the next day. That made me very sad T_T.

Kao Mok Gai

I've been into making thai food lately. They are usually quick, simple, and flavorful. That's why I like thai food <3. Kao Mok gai is a curry based rice dish. The fun part is that you get to throw the chicken into the rice cooker and cook them at the same time as the rice. When the rice cooker goes "ding" and the lid pops opened... your complete meal is in there :D~~

Sunny's Photo shoot

Sunny wanted to do a photo shoot of her clothing collection. She got a friend to model for her, and James was the photographer. She rented a studio space that James recommended in San Francisco. It was super fun. It was their first time for everything. Sunny's first collection photo shoot. The model's first time modeling. It's also James' first time doing a clothing collection photo shoot. I was there to give my support and cheer them on lol.

The studio was very cool. There were so many props. The crazy lighting reminds me of my dad since he does Lighting for movies. I'm sure that's what he does when he works on different movie sets. I wish he was there to help us out with the lighting. Too bad, he's in LA *sob sob*. James made me hold those reflective panel things. I felt helpful :p

Sunny's costumes were so cute! I want them all. If she sticks to this, she's gonna be so famous, one day :). I'm so lucky. I think everyone of my friends and relatives is so awesome.

*note* - Thank you James for the pictures :D

cuts and bruises

It's amazing how I manage to get a cut or a bruise daily. Today is kind of bad. Mewmew accidentally scratched me on my right hand, and I'm having a slight allergic reaction to the wounds, so they're all puffy and itchy. Then I forgot and gave him treats afterwards because I was giving Coco some...>o<;

Dream: Hybrid dogs.

I dreamt of a black french bulldog with black wings like pegasus, and a mermaltese (maltese that looks like it has a fishtail) in a fishtank.

I need to type this here, so I will always remember this as one of the strangest dream that I've ever had...

Shrimp Tom Yum

Made Tom Yum because I had left over mushrooms. I think spicy & sour is the best food combination. It was good, but mom makes it so much better. T_T.

We (Heart) Wood @ Munky King

I was in LA for a day for my Orthodontist, so I stopped by Munky King's We <3 Wood Art Show. They had a lovely display shelves that looks like tree branches. There were so many cool custom wooden toys. I wish Pailin was here. She loves wood toys.
