Talisman enchanted Tattoo

I just got a tattoo. My mom actually persuaded me to do it for good luck. It's an old thai tradition that dated back for a very long time. This tattoo is actually a spell that works kind of like a talisman to ward off evil spirits and bring you luck. It consists of 5 lines of scripts. The master that did the tattoo is very skilled and hard to find. There are a lot of copies of his designs, but I got the real person >:D.

I like that this looks pretty and the lettering is very interesting. Plus it also serve as a charm. He was so skilled. It took him only 15 min. It was done with a bamboo stick. For thai talisman type tattoo, you can choose to have it done with oil (which is invisible) or with ink. I chose the ink because I think the design is pretty plus I like it as a memory. For one, if I'm going to get a tattoo, it felt nice to have it done the traditional way. I feel like I'm preserving our tradition somehow lol. Secondly, it's something that my mom felt strongly about. I know she loves me very much and it's a charm that she wanted on me, so it's also a reminder of the love from my mom <3. It went by pretty quickly. You have to pray as he's putting the tattoo on you. I think my tolerance for pain is quite high. I didn't move at all. Everyone else said I looked so zen lol. Other people would flinch or cry :(. Overall, it was a very interesting experience.

My favorite 2D animations are Disney's classics.  My favorite 3D animations are of course done by Pixar.  I also have a favorite commercial firm and that is Psyop.  I love Psyop's commercials. They're so good.  Their commercials make me so happy.  I've known about them for years because whenever I see a cool commercial that I like, I'd find out that it's made by Psyop.  Recently,  I saw another one of their commercial, so I thought I should post about it.  It's been years, and they are still continuing to amaze me.  I'm so jealous of the people that works there.  It must be super awesome to work in such a creative place :).

Feathers in my hair

My mom is obviously more stylish than me lol. She came home one day with feathers in her hair. I've never seen that before. They were so pretty, so she told me to go get it done too.

Happy Birthday to me :D

Today is my birthday! What did I do today...hmm. Well, I just relaxed. I hung out with my dad :D. In the evening I went to Armand Serrano's Power of Value Seminar at LAAFA. It was great! I learnt so much. I think value has always been my weak point. I just have never paid that much attention to it. When I color, I just go by how I feel. OMG, I used to be a professional comic book colorist! lol Tsk tsk. shame on me. I really should've paid much more attention to values since way back then.

Other than that, I got the best present ever this year. Thank you! <3 Look! It's a polar bear spirit hood! So warm, so cozy, so cute! *wiggles*

I also finally got a car phone charger lol. yay! gifts! XD

Package from Germany

Something wonderful happened today. I received a package from Germany from a very sweet girl named Aileen. (Not too long ago, I drew her a picture of Katara.) She sent me a gigantic box filled with a bunch of goodies. There were so many variety of chocolates that will definitely make me gain a few Kilos. Her mom also made me a stained glass butterfly that’s super pretty. The best thing in the box has to be her letter with pictures. She framed my drawing and put it in her bedroom, and took a picture for me. She looks so happy :). The content of the letter gave me a super big smile. It’s so nice to see that something that I did can make someone so happy. It makes me like what I do so much more. I’m glad I decided to stick with drawing :).

Flowers

When I get sad, I tend to buy flowers. Or when I get paid a lot lol. Whole foods has nice flowers and they're not expensive like the ones from flower shops.

Coolest Macbook Pro

Alan got me a new super uber cool harddrive for my macbook pro. I think I have the coolest macbook pro now. I felt really bad because when he was opening it up, one of the screw was stuck and it kind of broke. Poor Alan, he was so frustrated. After a few hours of trying to get that screw out, he ended up carefully tilting the lid and replaced the drive :D Yay! thanks Alan! I'm so happy. I love my laptop *hugging the laptop* <3

James saved the day

James: what happened?
me: I don't know... it seems like the scroll down button is stuck. Every time a window is opened, it just scrolls to the bottom. I unplugged the keyboard, disabled the tablet, restarted the comp like 10 times and it's still doing it! What the heck is wrong?!?????
James: .... did you unplug the mouse?
me: I have a mouse? ._.

I couldn't print anything because the curser kept scrolling down the bottom and select the wrong printer. So after being frustrated for hours last night and this morning not knowing why my computer was acting really strange, it was the MOUSE. I had the cordless mouse plugged in, and never really used it. I only use the tablet pen for everything, so I forgot that I had a mouse *stupid stupid dummy! smack my self 50 times for being retarded. In the end, the source of my hours of frustration was from a Mouse that fell behind my desk. *sob, give me back my 5 hours!! ;_;

Stripped + Doodle

OMG, I was stripped!! She even took off my underwear!!!

My mom wanted to get a foot massage, so she dragged me to a Thai Massage place next to her work. I was lead into a dark room, then my masseuse said to lay down on my stomach, and took off my bra. I thought it was supposed to be a foot massage, but she said that when your feet and legs hurt, it's good to massage your back too. They all link to each others. It was soooo painful. Thai deep tissue massage is super painful. I looked like ---> >_< (trying not to scream). Then she took off my undie (I was so unprepared for that). She was pulling down my undie, and I was pulling it up.. hahaha. Anyways, in the end, I gave in. At least the room was super dark. I felt so violate T_T. It's the first time, I've ever been stripped by a masseuse.

The result - I'm super sore. I had a lot of knots. Oh, she said I'm super flexible because I was able to clasp my hands together behind my back (behind the scapulae) XD.

The whole masseuse thing totally distracted me from my doodling time. Here is another unfinished drawing again.

Broken Toilet

*sigh*... Challenges of my life. I miss my dad very much at the moment. I remember when something is broken, he can fix it all. How and when did he learn all that? I'm sure they don't teach you "how to fix a broken toilet" in school. It's quite amazing to me. Guys are so cool. XD (except you James.. cuz you don't know how to fix anything but computers - if you are reading this lol). Then again, maybe my dad is the only cool one cuz most guys that I know can't fix anything. Sometimes, I think I can do it better than men can >=D.

Anyways, back to the problem. I walked into the bathroom, and I hear this sound. Then I realized that my toilet water kept running non-stop. It wasn't overflowing or anything. It's just that I heard water running, but when I open the back, there's barely any water in there. Thank god, my landlord is the one paying for the water bill .. haha.

So there I was, staring at the toilet bowl trying to figure out how to fix my toilet. After fidgeting with all the weird things in the back for a while, I gave up. I decided that I need help. Who's there to help me? No one!! It's 3 am.. I live alone! *cries*..

I didn't even know that my toilet has a water valve before Toiletology.com enlightened me. At this rate, if I can't do art anymore, maybe I will turn into a handy man and go around fixing people's toilet lol.

YAY!!! done with work (for now). Omg.. stupid Frog was so hard to draw. That ended up being the hardest thing to draw in this batch. It's about 3pm. Sunny should be over in a few hours. Now I gotta go pack, prepare files to be printed, and clean up cat litter and rabbit cage! If i have time, maybe make some cookies for my dad too *hehe*.

Poor Coco

My Coco is having a bladder infection again T_T. Poor Kitty. He was running to the litterbox every 2 min. He's a little better now though. Sleeping <3
