Kitten

Acting cute in my purse

About 3 weeks ago, a friend of a friend found a kitten in her backyard. He was about 2 weeks old and was covered in fleas. I really didn't want another cat, but doesn't he look like Coco? >_<. ARggggh I'm really going to turn into a cat lady. Anyways, the shelter didn't want to take the kitten because he was too small. When they're that small, you need to feed them every 2 hours, and they might still not make it. I felt bad for him so I offered to foster him, but of course I got attached. Luckily he seems pretty healthy and he's growing very fast. When he first came, he was only 6 ounces. Now he's 1 lb and 3 ounces :). I made a temporary tumblr account for him. We were calling him Moogle, but now my mom's dog (Mocha) is confused because their names sound too similar, so I might have to come up with another name for the kitten.

He seems to be a siamese mix tabby because he's a pointed cat with some stripes on his legs and tails. His eyes looked gray at first, but it's becoming more like a deep blue. It's still changing.

inside the Gelato Bar

I took him to the Gelato Bar with me. He's so good at not wandering around. I also have to take him with me to my classes on Tuesdays because I'm at school all day. He'd just be sleeping most of the day and would only wake up when he is hungry or needs to go to the bathroom. He's so sweet. Even though he's keeping me super busy, I still miss Coco so much. Nothing could ever replace my Coco. <3

Coco in my dream

I dreamt of Coco's last night. We had an adventure together. He was in a little red cart and we were sliding down from this grassy hill. He was enjoying the breeze and and then he hopped down to go into a little burrow on the side of the hill. He went in there and grabbed a little black and white kitten out. There was also a brown tabby kitten that followed. The kitty mom came out and ran away, then another yellow cat came out. I think the yellow one was intruding upon the mother cat's hiding area, so Coco was trying to help the baby. I ran after all the cats, and eventually went home. When I got to my room, I looked at my bed and Coco was sleeping like usual. For some reason, at that point, I realized that I already had cremated him, so I ran to the bed and put my head on his stomach (which is something I usually liked to do. He's so soft and fluffy). He started to purr very loudly immediately. Coco would always purr the moment i touch him. I was so excited, and I kept petting him. At the same time, I knew it was a dream but i was hoping it wasn't so I tried to open my eye. I thought I might be petting another cat in my sleep thinking that Mewmew or Abby is Coco. I was thinking No, Coco's fur is longer than Mewmew and Abby is a lot fatter. This has to be Coco, but as I opened my eyes, he was disappearing and I was holding on to nothingness. T_T Yea.. it was a dream. It felt so real though. His fur was so soft. He was so warm. His purr was super loud and I felt like I was hugging him for a good one minute. *sob* If that was really his spirit, I wish he'd come and play with me every night.

Memory of Coco

My cat, Coco has been with me for 21 years. I love him more than anything in the world. 3 years ago, he was diagnosed with CRF (Kidney failure), so I have been giving him SubQ fluid injection almost everyday. Then he had hypertension, so I had to give blood pressure medication day and night. Eventually he became blind which really saddens me. He still seems happy despite all these conditions. We lived happily until this Labor Day weekend. He suddenly got sick again. I took him to the emergency hospital and he was there for 3 days. They think he might have some kind of bleeding in his GI track and the treatment didn't work. He also has a small tumor on his neck and something in his throat seemed to bother him whenever he eats. After 3 days on IV fluid and 2 blood transfusions, his numbers were still bad, so the doctor recommended that I put him down. I was very sad, but I really didn't want him to be in pain. At that moment, he was still hydrated and he just had blood transfusion, so he was ok.. he wouldn't last though because the blood count was still dropping. I took him home that night and we slept together for the last time. Then the next day I took him in. He was so floppy and weak. Up to the last minute on my lap, he'd still purred for me and gave me kisses. We were always together.
*I remember when he scratched my leg really badly. I stuck my leg out to protect a dog that he was about to attack, so he got my legs instead. Then he felt super bad and started to act extra cute to make it up. I was never mad at him. He's too cute. :)*

I took him to get a private individual cremation at S.O.P.H.I.E which was a beautiful place. I watched the whole process and made sure I got his ashes back with me. The whole ordeal is very hard, but I really couldn't have asked for a better ending. He didn't have a seizure, he wasn't in pain. He just slept beautifully. Everyone that took care of him were so kind and gentle. He looked beautiful before he went into the crematory as if he was gently sleeping in his usual curled up position. The nurse was kind. The old man that cremated him handled him so gently. I got to see everything from the beginning to the end.

It's been 2 weeks now and I'm still so sad. I won't ever forget him. He's forever my soulmate. Forever~~ *hugs his ashes*

3 days in the hospital. Look at his poor arms :(

Mewmew accident

Mewmew got attacked by 2 dogs (Boxers) while I was in Thailand. I went to Thailand for my sister's wedding. It's a horrible accident. The pet sitters were trying to grab him away from the dogs and they got bit to. One said that she actually heard the crunch when the dog got Mewmew's skull :(. Hind leg, front leg, and stomach were injured. His lung was punctured, his right eye is extremely damaged and filled with blood, and his jaw was split in half (hanging and bleeding >_<).

I got the call at 2am, the day before my sister's wedding that he was in an emergency room and that he might not make it. Luckily, they revived him. The next day he got his jaw surgery. When I got back, I took him to see an ophthalmologist and it was confirmed that he will forever be blind in his right eye. Poor Mewmew can't really close his mouth and it's super difficult to give him medicine because you can't hold his head. The pet sitters have been very kind to come and take care of him while I was gone. They were crying when Mewmew finally started to eat again a week later.

Mewmew likes dogs because he grew up with our Doberman. Now he's super scared of the neighbor's dogs barking :(.

Mewmew & the Paper Towel

I was just saying how Mewmew likes everything, and sometimes it's a pain. Look what I saw when I got home today *sigh~~*

Mewmew's obstacle

Mewmew is a glutton. If I leave chicken on the coffee table and run to the bathroom, I'd probably see him dragging my drumstick away when I get out. He eats EVERYTHING and he likes EVERYTHING. That makes him cute most of the time, but sometimes it can also be a pain. I like how Mewmew would always be the first one to play with all the new cat toys when others would ignore it. I don't like when he opens the door to go steal Abby's food though -_-;

Sunny's cat - Abigale

I'm going to be taking care of Sunny's cat for a while. Her name is Abby. She has tiny little ears and stubby little arms. Unlike my other cats, Abby can't cross her arms lol. Her body looks kind of like a blimp @_@. She's super cute! She also comes to you when you call her name, and she likes to sleep on her back. She'd act super cute, rolling back and forth, luring you to rub her tummy so she can attack! >_<

Actually, my friends and I think she is a bit like Toothless from "How to train your dragon". It's her face shape, and the way she'd stalk and walk.

Cat Show - Santa Clara

Derek, Laine, Elda, and I went to Santa Clara cat show. I drew almost every breed of cats for MEG, so it was super cool to actually see the real animals lol. I didn't know that cats can get that big. There were some that are about 27 lbs. 27!! isn't that crazy? Here I am thinking that Mewmew is a gigantic cat because he's about 14 lbs. The big cat's head is the size of a human's head!

I liked the american curls with their ears rounded and curled back. The Ragdolls and Burman kitties remind me of Coco <3. I love the pattern of Ocicats. They're like leopards. I want one! lol. Savannah cats and Maine coon cats are the gigantic ones. I've never seen a real Toyger before either (They're the ones that looks like tigers).

Thank you Derek for the pictures. I had a hard time taking pictures there because I have a stupid camera that shoots out red laser beams to focus. Those poor cats would squint, so I stopped and told Dererk that I'd steal his pics instead >_<.
