done with work~ Yay!

Done with another job. It's going to be a postcard for a convention. I didn't put the whole image up since it's not out yet. Now I have some "fixes" to do for the other company @_@; I also have homeworks!! >_<

Mewmew was diagnosed with a skin allergy. Poor cat. The doctor gave him a shot, so that should help out. I swear.. I go to the vet like 1-2 times a month. Mewmew has insurance, and I don't even have any health insurance!

Coco's Money

Yay! I got paid! Coco is happy :D

Dell 2408WFP Monitor

I got a new monitor. It's $750, but it's so worth it. My old monitor was so bad. Whenever I moved around the color would change depending on the angle. This monitor is so good. Saka recommended it to me. Thank you Saka <333

The art on the screen is an illustration for work. I have to send it in tomorrow.

Cavalli Glasses - Gift from Mom

Mom got me a pair of sunglasses. I don't like brand name sunglasses because I'm clumsy. I'm afraid that I will sit on it or forget it somewhere. Mom got one for me anyways though. It's probably because I kept saying that I like hers. She has a Cavalli one, and the side has really pretty twirls. When she puts it on her head, it looks like a tiara XD. Mine is not as intricate as my moms. She said they don't make the design that she has anymore T_T. It's still pretty though :) Now I'm afraid to use it XD.

Spalenka Family

I went to eat dinner at Greg's house yesterday. They made yummy gnocchi. It was great to eat something solid after a week of horrible flu. Greg's family is so adorable. It really feels like one of those perfect artist family. They give off this wonderful aura that just makes you feel really good. Not only that, the older he gets the younger he looks! How does he do that?! Greg Spalenka does spiritual style of paintings, but recently he has been working on visual development for films such as Narnia and Golden Compass.

His wife, Roxana Villa is also a painter, but she also makes these amazing organic high-end perfumes. (I love the perfumes, and the packaging is gorgeous).

Their daughter, Eve, is my favorite girl in the whole world. Seriously, I always thought if I ever have a daughter, I wish she'd be just like Eve haha. She's so sweet. I think she's 14-15 now. Her hobby is photography. She plays flute. She does performing arts. She paints. AND, she knits amazing stuff! I think she's going to open a store on Etsy soon.

Like I said, isn't this a perfect artist family? I'm so envious. I think I'm bragging too much about them haha. <333

Cold & Flu

Saka came over for the weekend, but I got sick the whole weekend, so I think she got really bored. Sorryyyyy~ Then again, the one that brought me the germ all the way from San Jose is Saka. *ahem*.

I'm still coughing to death omg. The first few days, I had high fever and bodyache, then I thought I was getting better, but now I'm coughing like crazy, I can't even sleep. I have so much work too. I hope I will get over this soon.

Sketch - Piggy Bank

I found the cutest Piggy Bank ever... but it doesn't have the hole where the money can be taken out. So I didn't buy it because I can't bare to ever break it T_T *sigh*

At least that's what my memory of it looked like. It was made out of clay. I think the real one cuter T___T.

Coco's BP

Coco's Blood Pressure is still at 190 even after I gave him Benazepril and Amlodipine. *sigh* He has another check up next week. I need to work harder so I can pay for the Vet Bills T_T.

Sketch - DuckDuckGoose

I was drawing animals for work, and I had to draw a goose. It looked cute, so I decided to do another goose sketch :p. Well for work, it's a Baby Goose. This one is an older version.

Sketch - Koi

I remembered when I went to a composition workshop most of the people were so Anti-anime style art. The moment the word "Anime" was mentioned, everyone started to cringe. It must be a fine artist thing, but it made me kind of sad. I think Anime art is really charming. There are a lot of Anime artist that I really love as much as fine artists. Art is art isn't it? I remembered that when I was younger, there were times that I feel kind of shy because people make fun of my "big eyed" drawings. Blah... I did try to make the eyes not too big, but it looked better to me with big eyes. The composition of this sucks badly, and I'm too lazy to fix it. Thank god, it's something I do for fun and I'm not being graded :P.

Coco's Vet Visit & Mom's Day

Coco got a Blood Test and Blood Pressure test today. His BUN and Creatinine count is down which is great. That means the Kidney is doing better. His Blood Pressure is still high at 190. I already doubled the dosage of Amlodipine (BP medication). He used to have to only take it in the morning, but now it's morning and night. The doctor wants to add Benazepril (another BP medication). My poor Coco T_T. His heart beat was going over 200, so the doctor was worried about that too. She recommended Heart Ultrasound. I think Coco was just nervous though. He was shivering the whole time at the vet. I have to take him back to get his Blood Pressure test again next week.

Other than that, my mom had a day off today, so we had a mothers-daughter day. We went shopping at the mall because she wanted to buy Godiva on sale haha. She likes the G Collection. Then I took her to go watch Marle and Me. I thought she'd like it since it's a dog movie. Well, she liked it, but she cried way too much at the end. I felt so bad. I didn't know that the dog in the movie died the same way as our dog. My mom was reminded of our dog which passed away last year. I was crying too T_T. No more Tear-Jerkers next time >_<.

Jean Philippe's Pastry

I'm in love, and he deserves his own post. The little Dessert Shop inside Bellagio is so yummy. I'm in love with the Ice cream here. It's soft, light and fluffy. I had 2 cones in one sitting and I actually finished both! (I'm a glutton, I know.) Everything is so pretty. The Sugar Brioche I brought home is good too. *dances with joy. Chef Jean Philippe, will you adopt me, so I can forever eat your desserts? <333

Vegas - Beatles Love Trip

Took a trip with CP to go see The Beatles Love at the Mirage. Well, we were supposed to go see Le Reve also, but our planes were delayed. My plane was delayed an hour and CP's plane was 3 hours delayed, so we missed the show. Then the Travel Agent screwed up so we didn't get our hotel *grrr*. So we ended up walking around until we found a place that actually has available room.

The next day, however, got better. Beatles show was wonderful. It's very artistic. I loved a lot of the scenes especially the bubble scene and the underwater part. The only thing that I thought the show lacked was the superb acrobats that Cirque shows seem to be known for. The acrobats in this show weren't as impressive as the other shows I guess. Still, I'm very glad that I went to see the show. It's very whimsical and lovely.

There was a special Cirque De Soliel Sculpture Show at the Bellagio by Richard Macdonald. I remember seeing them in Carmel once. I wanted some of them, but they were like 5 digits >_< (ouch).

Bellagio Christmas Flower Garden. The snowmen are made of flowers :D.

We also went to check out Encore which is an extension of Wynn Hotel. It was GORGEOUS.

Pete's Studio Visit

I went to visit Pete's Studio today. Look at all the sculptures!! He has no life!! All he does is sculpt! It's the holidays, and he's still there! No wonder why he's so good. I need a better work ethics. The gorilla is not finished.. He was like "Noo don't take pictures!!" Geee~~ it already looks good even if it's unfinished.

Phantom & Shabu

This weekend, I went to see Phantom of the Opera with a bunch of friends. There were Derek, CP, Laine, Jen, Andre, and Tabitha. The show itself wasn't as good as I remembered it to be. It felt a lot more like an opera than a musical I guess. The stage and costumes were extravagant. It was still a great trip. We also got to go eat at a yummy Shabu place afterwards. Too bad I don't have any pics from the Phantom because they didn't allow any photographs as usual -_-.
