Monster
Yesterday... was not such a good day. Well, there was a bug in my room. I don't hate bugs, but I'm so scared of them. I don't know why >_<. It's the way they crawl? and if they fly, that would make it 3 times worse. It looked like some sort of a beetle, and I don't know how it got in. It was on my bedsheet. This is one of those time that I wish I didn't live alone lol. It took like 30 min to get rid of the thing. I had to find a large clear container and trapped it, then stick a paper under and carefully take it outside. I swear if it started flying and buzzing around me, I might die of a heart attack right there. Bugs are so scary >_< ... spiders, roaches, caterpillar, bees, beetles... are all scary >_<;;;;; Ladybugs are kind of cute but I get scared when they start flying too. I hate the buzzing sound >_<. I also had a nightmare last night. I dreamt that I woke up with some weird disease that made me look like the drawing I did (below). Sob. I looked like I just got beat up. My eyes were all bloody, and I knew I was going to die within that day. It was such a creepy dream.

Banana Cupcakes
I'm so happy because something good happened .. la la la, but that's a secret.. hehe. Anywaysssss ...

I had bananas that are overripe. You know how they smell extra good when they are ripe? lol. I kept smelling banana whenever I walk by my kitchen, so I decided to use them up before they rot. In the end, I decided to make Banana muffin with Coconut cream frosting. It came out good, but I probably would make it without frosting next time (less fattening >_<... I'm supposed to be on a diet). OMG... I shouldn't even be baking, I'm supposed to work! >_<;;; This is not good. I have soo much work too. lol

a little down
New Art...

Someone told me that I think too much. I get into those mood once in a while and think about things. Sometimes it makes me feel good. Sometimes it makes me sad. I'm not very good with words, so I end up doing sketches and doodles. I think my drawings are kind of emotional since it reflects the way I feel. They are personal. Most of the time, they are happy drawings, so I guess that's a good thing? (since it means I'm usually happy right? lol).

wrong number

Today is my friend's birthday, and I hate telephone.. btw.
Talk about Telephone. My dad always say "what's the point of having a cell phone if you're not gonna pick up???". It's just that, when I'm in the middle of something (work, drawing, whatever it is), I don't like to be cut off. It ruins the creative juice flow, you know... lol. Or sometimes, I'm just too lazy.
Okay, now that I got that out of my system, I gotta get back to work XD.

Giant Veggies & Mini Ice Pops

I hung out with Saka today. It was nice since we haven't seen each others in a while. What did we do? .. attack Kinokuniya, Mitsuwa, and Ringer Hut! lol. We ate waay too much at Ringer Hut, so we had to walk it off. I bought a new artbook "Concept Design of Shinobi" from Kinokuniya bookstore. I also got a really cute notebook. Saka was the one that goes "omg! so cute!" to everything we see, but I ended up being the one that buys them lol. I bought so many ice cream bars from Mitsuwa market. The mini ones are so good. They are so small, so I ended up eating so many. Then I got super hyper from all the sugar XD. But with flavors like Orange, Apricot, and Plum, it's hard to only eat just one. The produce section also had unusually large vegetables today. I mean.. we saw giant green onions.. giant Daikon (I mean.. it's bigger than my arm!.. THAT big), and Gobo that are 5 times bigger than normal. It was a little strange lol. After shopping, we came back, and Saka did a bunch of doodles... hehe.
*UPDATE* Gasp, my sister messaged me and said "Dummy! It's called a LEEK!" lol. Seriously, I haven't cooked with Leeks before, but I thought the leafs are more flat and wide no? .. Or am I really stupid? XD ... oh well lol. It's still a Giant Green Onion to me.

Baking Cookies.. la la la
I made Cookies ALL morning. I wanted to make a perfect batch. I also wanted to try making cookies that I haven't made before which leads to...

EARL GRAY TEA Cookies! - that turned out to be disastrous. I think it smelled really nice but I really hate the texture. It's all crumbly and too buttery for my taste. It's very light though, so that's nice. Since I'm not happy with it.. down the trash it goes. =p NEXT!

CHOCOLATE&COFFEE Cookies! - I don't really like Coffee, but I like Espresso brownies. Mmm.. I think they came out pretty good. The outside is crispy, and the inside is soft and cake-like. I used fine Baker's sugar to coat the cookies, and I think it works well. Regular cane sugar is too over powering I think. I still like my green tea cookies most, so I might as well make that too.

GREEN TEA Cookies! - Ahhh Perfection. It's a shortbread cookie that is moist inside. I use really good quality butter and tea for this cookie. I have made it many times, so I think I got better at making this one. Although I did leave the first batch in the oven too long which leads to burnt bottom cookies T_T (down the trash they go).

Luckily, I didn't overbake the 2nd batch, so they came out nice hehe. <3>

Agedashi Tofu
I got a new toy. It's this cute little Quail Egg mold, so I had to use it.

Unfortunately, Quail Egg is not enough for lunch, so I decided to also make Agedashi Tofu since I happen to have tofu and all the ingredients here already. Err... I didn't have Ponzu sauce and I like my Agedashi Tofu with Ponzu sauce, so I had to make that from scratch. Some people use Lemon Juice to make Ponzu sauce. Some uses Orange Juice. I made mine with Orange Juice and I really liked it, so I think I will just make my own Ponzu sauce from now on too.. haha.

It's so hot here.. so hot *melting as I'm typing*. >_<;;;

Cherimoya & Squamosa
Suddenly I got this weird craving for a fruit that I haven't had in such a long time. Well, I'm not even sure if it's Cherimoya or Squamosa since they are almost the same thing lol. I mean look! Other than the bumpy skin, Squamosa (we call it Noi-na) looks just like Cherimoya.

I started browsing the web looking for the English name of that fruit. In the end, I ran into this website ---> Asian Fruit Heaven which made me miss the fruits in Asia even more T_T. Eventhough I can't read anything on that site. (I don't even know what language it is), it has such a good collection of Thai Fruits. *Nostalgic Mode*
I sent the link to my friend, Saka, so we were chatting and drooling over the fruits together. I think Saka was even worse than me lol. Mmm...I miss them so much suddenly. Even Oranges and Papaya tastes better over there.

Gary & Sunny
The past weekend, my close friend from LA, Gary, came to visit me. I haven't seen him for at least 2 years I think. It was nice to see him again. We also went to hang out with one of my best friend from High School, Sunny. We had a lot of fun. I laughed a lot, my cheeks were hurting lol. Sunny was so cute! I hope she keeps her hair this way forever!
Gary got here around 4 am, and it was quite adventurous. I won't get into details, but it seemed like spiders were attracted to him for some reason.. haha. Saturday, we woke up and went to have lunch at Santana Row in San Jose. Then we went to Academy of Art in San Francisco to meet up with Sunny. They had an open house with some interesting art works showing. Gary loves art shows, so Saturday was pretty much a tour of Art Shows day. Gary is a graphic designer and Sunny is a fashion designer, so we had a nice artsy Saturday hehe.
Then we head over to San Francisco's Japan Town for Sophie's crepe. Apparently, his friend was telling him about Sophie's crepe. Mmmm.. Sophie's crepes *drools*
After that, we headed to Ogi's Art Show. This one is mostly displaying his new works that are printed in "Bliss Express". I still like the series that were in "Art of the Wired" more. Ogi himself was there too, so I got to take a picture (1st pic below). I was very thirsty, so I was hoping that they would have some water there, but they only had beer. I don't drink beer, but Sunny seemed happy that they were giving out free beer though.
Giant Robot store is close by, so we stopped by there too. It's such a little shop, but it was so crowed. Full of people and full of toys ^^. It made me miss FSc. She would probably really enjoy a trip like today.
The day ended with us sharing 3 bowls of noodle soups from "Bangkok Noodles" (recommended by Sunny). Sharing is the best because we get to try more things! Sunday came, and Gary and I headed to his friend's wedding. The wedding was about 2 hours away. It was a small cozy wedding. I love weddings because all you see are happy smiling faces. It's such a nice atmosphere. The couple was also adorable.
Oh, and I got to wear my new dress... hehe.
It's funny how when you get back together with your friends, even after not seeing each others for a long time, you just click right back. I think we all really had fun. We should do it again! :D

A new beginning...
I love summer. I just really don't like cold weather all that much. It makes me want to stay under my blanket and never get out of bed. Summer also means that I get to wear skirts. For everyone that knows me, you know I love to wear skirts =p. I always tend to be more productive during the summer yay!

Wine Tasting & My first snow

Pailin and her Boyfriend came to visit me. They dragged me out of my house since I'm a hermit... and made me go learn how to drink wine because I don't drink. First destination was Napa wine tasting classes.

Then we met up with Lada (former Miss Thailand world) who is their friend in San Francisco. Seriously, I was surrounded by two beauty queens whose auras were blinding *_*.

Then they threw me in the snow. I got to meet more of his friends. They were all so sweet. I have NEVER seen snow yet, so I was super excited. It was actually really soft fluffy snow since they had a snow storm while we were there. It was also SUPERRRRrr cold. My socks were all wet, and my feet were semi-frozen. We took snowboarding classes. OMG, for someone who doesn't normally exercise, the next day was quite painful.
