Pancakes & Arcade

I went to Wonder Con earlier this year as a dealer and asked a friend, Randy, to help me watch over the booth. We were going to grab breakfast in Anaheim, and one place caught our attention. Unfortunately, the line was way too long and I was running late to my booth. We ended up missing it and got Jack in the box instead T_T. Randy has been wanting to go back, so along with Mitsu, we decided to finally go to try it today. Behold the "The Original Pancake House"! The line was still almost an hour long, but it was so worth it. The pancakes were fluffy. The eggs were tasty. The german pancake was really cool. yum yum. That's how the day started.
German Pancake looks cool, don't they?

Then we went to check out "Round 1" Game center in City of Industry and ended up pretty much spending the whole day there. Randy won almost every game. I think he was really in his element there lol. We also played Pingpong. He beat us in Pingpong too, but I was just getting better when the time was up >:( boo! I wanted to win a Rilakkuma, but didn't want to waste money on trying to win it because it's probably cheaper to just buy it outside. I didn't want to get sucked in to the whole scheme but it was so tempting! I really like Taiko No Tatsujin and Smart Smacker ^^.

Thailand 2012: Day 13

The amazing Salted Egg Sweet custard bun
Today is my last day in Thailand. My sister was trying to convince me to stay longer, so I can go to Phuket with her. That sounds so nice, but I do miss my cats and I have so many things to do in the States. I did my ;ast minute shopping today. My sister and I went to Jim Thomson House, and bought some souvenirs for mom and dad. Then we went to MBK and grabbed some more things for friends. We also got Mont Nomsod’s condensed milk toast.. yummy.

Then we went to eat at the famous Chef Man. My sister has been raving about this place saying that it's the best Dim Sum place in Bangkok for the longest time. She's in love with the Salty Egg Sweet Custard bun. It's that combination of sweet and salty that she loves so much. I was trying to split it so I can take a picture, but ended up squirting it all over my hand. It was a mess, but she is right. Everything is tasted great there especially that custard bun. I wish I could eat more, but we were really stuffed.
We stopped by the corner of a street to grab the last milk tea. Seriously, this place has amazing milk tea. (The pictures is taken from the sidewalk, so this is actually the front of the store.) Then I got back to finish packing and then left for the airport.
Milk tea!!!
Lastly, here is a collection of pictures that I took of random places and things in Thailand from food, students and their uniform, street vendors to cars and the street.

Thailand 2012: Day 12

TWG in Emporium
I went to have lunch with Lak’s mom, sisters, and one of their friends. It was wonderful to be able to see them again. We went to TWG on the bottom floor of Emporium. The food were wonderful, the desserts were amazing, and the tea were so good. The teapot was very cool too. It really keeps the heat in, so that the tea stay warm much longer than normal.

My brother and his wife came to the hotel around 3pm and we hung out and went to walk around Central World on Chitlom exit. Afterwards, I had to go see Pi Ko’s family for dinner, so Tone dropped me off. He didn't want to join them for dinner because he was dressing too cute haha.
Don't they look super cute with their matching shirts? lol

Kamen rider balloon lol

Anyways, we went to Mugendai. The sushi there were really really good. I was to shy to take photos though since his whole family was there. We had Kinmedai, Zuwaigani, Engawa, and many other things. Their Chawanmushi was also super soft and tasty.
Pretty area where Mugendai was located at.

At night, Pailin and I got massage at a new place. For the first time, my masseuse was a guy. Her husband's sister recommended him and said he was awesome. He was really awesome. I usually get the regular pressure point massage. Today, I had a different type of massage where they did thai massage with Oil and Tiger balm. He said my right hand was much more tense than my left, so I said of course since I’m an artist, i use that hand a LOT. I think I was pretty much tensed all over though and he agreed lol. I like this massage since it’s a combination of pressure point and rolling. It’s already midnight and I just got back. Today was so eventful. Tomorrow, it’s time to go home already.
