Sleeping Beauty & Nell Brinkley @ Cartoon Art Museum

Another SF Trip. I missed the cartoon art museum last time, so this time Pailin is joining me to check out Sleeping Beauty & Nell Brinkley Gallery. I think I'll make another trip here one day and really go to a few galleries in one day. We stopped by Gaia office one day and brought the art department Satura cakes. I think Ling and Jen were the most happy though.

Alan made Fondue. I had a thing for the little marshmallows. They were tasty. :) Pailin and I also attacked Stacks Breakfast. Mmmm

Hello San Francisco that's always full of gigantic strange sculptures & Yummy Crabs :D

Cartoon Art Museum is small, but the sleeping beauty gallery was pretty nice. The only thing is most of the items in the galleries are replicas or photocopies. I used to scan the original pieces when I worked at the DVD company. The originals are at the Disney Animation Research Library. I wish they had more original pieces because they are amazing. It's harder to tell with the copies because the qualities aren't as good, and you can really see and feel the textures from the original pieces. They were also featuring Nell Brinkley, an illustrator. I'm so glad that we got to see her works. They are very inspiring. We all agreed that it felt a lot like Shojo manga lol. A lot of them gives off a very nice feeling :). They didn't allow Photography inside the gallery, so I only took pics of the little gift shop/bookstore.

Dinner at Fresca (Peruvian & Cerviche!):D~~

Chicken & Pink Lemonade

Trying to eat healthy. I made Stir Fry Chicken and Broccoli. I'm currently addicted to Trader Joe's Pink Lemonade with some Lime juice plus ice and a little pinch of salt. I know Salt in drinks sound weird, but it's really common to add a little salt in fruit juices in thailand. They actually tastes better! Like a margarita! j/k :p

Gardena's Mochi & Paradise Cake

Rudy was bored, so he called us to see if we wanted to hang out. I decided that we should go to Gardena. There are a lot of japanese places there, so they probably have cute little japantown like in SF and LA! I was really looking forward to the mochi shops because of all the reveiws on Yelp too. When I got there,
Sakuraya mochi was closed D: ... why???? They just had to be closed on the day I decided to drive over an hour away to explore Gardena. Well at least Chikara Mochi was open and they had super cute mochi :) I actually kind of like the chocolate peanutbutter mochi lol. I white bean ones were kind of dry. I liked that one from the shop in San Jose better. We also went to have Yakitori from Shisengumi and they were tasty too. I was too lazy to take pics. Too many food porns :p Oooh we did, however, stoppd by King's Bakery. The famous company that makes King's Hawaiian sweet bread! I finally got to try the infamous Paradise Cake. *drools* I liked it. I want more! Rawwr.

The Nijiya Market there is huge!!! They had tons of interesting things such as the cute little chick mitten that I wanted so badly. Too bad it's like $15!! My face isn't worth it.

Yummy Trip with Pailin

Pailin woke up and craved waffles really badly, so we searched and went to try "More Than Waffles" in Encino. It's a very cute and cozy breakfast place. They serve Belgian Waffles which are my favorite :D. The hot Chocolate was yummy too.

Then we went to Urban Outfitters and played with food plushes & toys.

We discovred Giovanni's Restaurant in Woodland Hills. OMG~ it might be one of the best Italian restaurant that I've ever been to. I LOVE their spaghetti and white clam sauce. They also have really good fresh Cannoli. We went there with daddy for dinner :)

Sweet Lady Jane's

Uncle Tony and Aunt Gina took us to Sweet Lady Jane Bakery on Melrose. It's a cute little place that's really popular. I love their Coconut Cake. It's so buttery, soft, light, and Moist. I don't even like coconut desserts in general, but this one is so good. They also have super tasty red velvet cake. The decorations on their little chocolates and vanilla cupcakes are beautiful. Yummy Yummy :)

Coolest Macbook Pro

Alan got me a new super uber cool harddrive for my macbook pro. I think I have the coolest macbook pro now. I felt really bad because when he was opening it up, one of the screw was stuck and it kind of broke. Poor Alan, he was so frustrated. After a few hours of trying to get that screw out, he ended up carefully tilting the lid and replaced the drive :D Yay! thanks Alan! I'm so happy. I love my laptop *hugging the laptop* <3

Dan'sBBQ & Alan's Parakeets

I went to Jeannie's and Dan's BBQ party. It was nice. I was playing with Jeannie's kitty, Trinity, and that made me miss Coco a bit. Mai, Marshall, Josh, Jodi, Alan and some of his friends were there too. I got to catch up with Mai and Jeannie. They seem so busy. Jeannie has so many hobbies. It makes me feel like I should be more productive and do more things instead of rolling around when I'm free. Jodi and I talked about our love for animals and how we hate the evil people who abuses animals. I didn't know that Josh can make such a super delicious avocado dip. He sent me a recipe too! Lucky!:D. Later, I watched them play "Little Big Planet". Jeannie's chara has such a cute costume >w<.

I also got to see Alan's Parakeets this time. They are so pretty. I love their colors. I think I scared them when I was trying to take their pictures though ;_; Sorry birdies. Oh! I also ran into Lorelai when we went to get watermelon juice ^^. She seems so active. Everyone is so active nowadays! Alan was trying to make Fat Princess work online, so he could play with the other guys, but his computer went kaboomed, and it's gonna take 2 days to fix :(. Everytime I look at Alan's screen, I want to make it more colorful :p. Hmm...I think I took some good pictures of him (eventhough it's upside down ^^;) and his birds :D Look!
