Carmel By the Sea

CP, FSc, and I went to Carmel. It's such a pretty town. There are a LOT of galleries there. The coolest thing is probably the feel of the place. It feels like an old fairy tale town... so magical. The houses didn't have number addresses, but they have unique names instead. They were all pretty. The shops and cafe were so cute. FSc and I took so many pictures.

Here are some pics of the Candy Store. It has a vintage feel to it.

We went to eat at Hog's Breath Inn for dinner. Someone brought his dog with him, and the dog was sooo big! His dog was 160 lbs. He looks like a cute giant fluffy stuffed animal.

Then we hit the beach. The breeze and the sun was so nice. I fell asleep xD.

Chihuly Exhibit

FSc and I went to Chihuly Exhibit at De Young in San Francisco. I have always been a fan of Chihuly. I wish I can paint something that gives of the same feel. The reflections are so beautiful. Saka was the one that told me about the Exhibit, but I couldn't take her there because we ended up going on a week day. (Saka is stuck at Gaia office.) FSc only had 2 days left so today is Chihuly day and tomorrow we will be hitting Carmel.

Cat House & Creepy Shed

On the way back from SDCC, we made a quick stop to the Cat House on Kings. They had about 1600 cats there. Since FSc and I are cat people <3, we were really glad that they at least have a large area and a nice home to live in. Otherwise, they would have just been killed at the shelter. Some of the cats were sick, and some areas smelled really bad. Overall though, they are still much better off there. I wish more people would adopt them. They are very lonely. The moment they saw us, they all ran towards us. Some started to hop on so that we can carry them. FSc took a lot of pics, so I will update this post with some pics when FSc gets back from Comiket in Japan.

Right next to the cat house, there was a creepy shed with lots of dead trees everywhere. James and FSc were all into the creepy area lol. I thought it looked like a scene from a scary movie. More pics after FSc gets back from Comiket!

SDCC 2008

This year, James tagged along to help us out. He also made the super awesome Sign that is glowing in the back. Our booths smell so nice because of FSc's crafty bathsalts. As usual, Comic Con had a lot of fancy booths, and it seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year. Our location is much better than last year's location. Eventhough we were all SUPER tired, we had a lot of fun. FSc and I were talking about how refreshing it is to see the customers and the fans that stopped by. It really makes us want to work harder and make a lot of cool things lol. We are so grateful <3. Thanks so much!

The first day, we ended up eating our first meal at 7 pm >_<; Everyday was so tiring. I promised to take everyone to watch different movies every night, but we only got to see Wall-E. It was James first Comic Con, so he was the most excited. He was really into the Ironman statues. FSc was signing and sketching so much that her hand was hurting lol. She also got a sketch from Niel Gaiman and Mike Mignola which made her super happy. We bought an artbook and a mini gun replica by Greg Broadmore from Weta Workshop. Megan Franich came by and bought some stuff at the booth too!

There were really pretty cosplayers that stopped by our booth daily to show us their awesome costumes. They were so pretty, sweet, and talented! I hope we get to see them again next year!

AX2008

My cat was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. It's been difficult because I have to take him to the vet daily. I also have to take care of him, and I have so much work, so I am a bit behind. Saka came to AX and we made a special 2 piece Elven Set. (I will put the image up in the next post.) We were also selling some Nemu Nemu merchandise for our talented friend. Please check out Nemu Nemu webcomics. It's really adorable. Here are some pics from Anime Expo this year. Thank you everyone for stopping by the booth.

Coco's Kidney Failure

I was told that the bloodtest results shows that he has Kidney Failure (CRF - Chronic Renal Failure). The BUN reveals the Toxin levels in cats. When the kidney functions well, the cat's BUN level is between 10-30. Coco's first blood test shows that his was 63 (when it's over 60, they are nauseated). The 2nd blood test came back at 158. By this time, he was looking so bad. He could barely move. His back legs were shaking, and he was drinking air instead of water. I really thought I had to put him down, and I was crying and crying. In the end, after buying every brand of canned food out there, he started to eat a bit. The doctor gave him nausea pills, which might have helped too. He also had Urinary tract infection, so he had to take antibiotics, and at this point, he takes SubQ fluids daily.

depression

It feels like he's melting away in my hands. I don't want him to die. I'm so sad.

Coco's not eating.

He's still not eating. I tried to giving him canned Tuna, his cat food, chicken broth... I tried putting some on his nose, put little pieces in his mouth. He's still not eating. I have an appointment with the Vet tomorrow again. I'm so sad. I have to draw 40 cute happy animals, and it's so hard at the moment. How can I draw cute happy animals when I'm so sad. T__T

Coco's Pooping Problem...

I took Coco to the Vet the day after. The poor cat was not feeling good. The doctor was so kind and friendly and he had Coco faced me, and his butt facing the doctor. Then suddenly, "MEOOOOOOOOOW!!!". He was trying to climb up me as the doctor stick his finger up his butt and pulled out a few pieces of poo. I have a whole new respect for veterinarians, omg. The doctor said there is still large piece of poo inside that he couldn't reach, but hopefully he cleared the passage enough. Then, Coco seemed happy that he finally get to come home.

Unfortunatly, yesterday night, he was constipated again. I rushed him to the Vet this morning, and he got his first enema ever. Poor cat. He really didn't like that, but what else can I do. They said he was Fighting >_<. I think he hurt his leg from struggling so hard. He's limping. Now I have to give him canned pumpkin (fiber) and salmon oil which supposed to help with the constipation problem. I really hope that it's nothing serious, and he will get pass this stage. sob~
